How to add a friend by code
-
Open the leaderboard
Go to statistics and open the leaderboard. You will find global and friends views, your personal code and a code search field.
-
Share your personal code
Tap Share beside your code and send it through your preferred app. To find a friend yourself, ask for their code.
-
Find and open their profile
Enter the code in search, open the profile and follow it. Following is one-way: each of you needs to follow the other to appear in both friends lists.
-
Switch to friends
This view makes it easier to compare progress with familiar people. Your friends rank can differ from your global rank because the list includes different participants.
What does the leaderboard compare?
The main leaderboard measure is points. Each entry also shows a rank and personal code. A public profile shows aggregate progress, such as total completions and best streak.
Codes let you find profiles without searching by name or email. You do not need to enter a habit title or publish a personal story to use the leaderboard.
Global and friends leaderboards
The global list shows the worldwide competition. The friends view narrows it to the people you follow and your own profile. These are two views of the points leaderboard, rather than separate habit systems.
Following someone does not create a shared calendar or joint habit, and it does not let them edit your entries. You can discuss your goals through your usual messaging app.
What is a good first step together?
Choose a small, clear action such as reading or language practice. Each person adds it in their own app and chooses a schedule that works for them. Exchange codes, follow each other and compare your movement in the leaderboard.
Habitree requires no sign-up. You can track up to three habits for free; Pro unlocks unlimited habits and additional options. If competition becomes distracting, you can keep using your own calendar and activity map.
